Events Setup

The Events Module within EfficiencySpring provides a solid baseline for hosting event registration capability, complete with flexible pricing capability, and Per-user conference session selection.

For each event, you may specify an Event Title, Event Status, Event Description, Event Location, Event Start Date, Event End Date, and "Thank You" URL. Events with the status of "Accepting Registrations" will be available to end users with the Event Registrations section. The "Thank You" URL can be used to specify the URL users will be directed to after they have successfully registered for an event.

Admission Types

Admission types allow you to specify the various ways a user can attend the event, such as "Standard Admission", "Press Pass", "Exhibitor Floor Only", etc...  Within each admission type, you can specify multiple pricing levels that have deadlines. For instance, "Standard Admission" might have an "Early Bird" price as well as a regular price. When a registree fills out an event registration form, the proper price will automatically be calculated based on the Attendee Type they choose.

Each pricing level can have refund thresholds associated with it. Similar to pricing levels, they allow you to specify how much money can be refunded to a participant if they cancel by a certain date.

Note that automated cancellation capability has not yet been built into the Events Module.

Blocks

Each event is made up of a set of blocks with start and end times designated. Within each of these blocks, you may setup one or more sessions that an attendee can choose to attend. On the event registration form, each block will be listed along with a dropdown box registrees can use to mark their choice.
